Reasons
1) A heavy non linear load is connected to the output (Like Fans, pumps, etc)
It is advised not to connective heavy inductive loads to the UPS(see the manuals)
2) The transformer may have gone bad.(Needs to give the output transformer for lamination / servicing). Please verify if the transformer is getting heavily heated up.
3) The UPS micro circuits / microcontroller controlling the bridges that feed the transformer have some issues.
4) The UPS switching section might not be working properly. When the mains fails the UPS will go to inverter mode, when the mains restores the ups returns to the mains mode while the inverter side is still ON (This issue will happen to some locally designed UPS only) this causes the mains to flow back to the MOSFET through the transformer that causes the MOSFET to overload and will burn out.
5) Ensure that the heat sinking is proper and heat sink compound is is applied propely between the MOSFET and the heat sink and the MOSFET is properly fixed to the heatsink.

Humming sound coming from UPS when running in inverter mode(on batteries)
Please ensure whether the humming is observed only when the ups is running on batteries. If so then the issue might be related to the filter kept at the output stage after the transformer. (In Some UPS the filter might be directly fixed to the mains outlet on the Plug socket back side). Please ensure that the connections are perfect and the capacitor is working properly

Network Issue
issue: When I connect laptop / computer to the network (long cable) I am not able to access websites or network devices properly. When I ping to the remote device on the network I am getting request timed out in between proper replies.
Solution: The issue is related to your network cabling, when operating at high speed say 100Mbps and 1Gbps speed please make sure that the cabling standards are met and the length of the cable won't exceed the maximum recommended length. The quick solution for this issue is to run the network at a low speed if possible (From the network properties in the windows XP) and select 10Mbps full duplex mode instead of 100Mbps. If you still need a higher speed then use good quality of cable in proper CAT-5 / CAT-6 standards.
If the length of the cable exceeds the maximum length then try using repeaters (you can use another hub in between as a repeater).
If you can compromise on the speed then the easy solution is to operate at a low data rate (10Mbps)
